2019: THe HIT LIst (part 3 of 5)

Dexta Daps x Pressa - Big Accident: I really dig this one. You ever be driving and see a big ol’ derriere then immediately lose focus? We’ll risk life and limb just to get a few more seconds to glance at Dat Ass. Dex and Press dedicate this track to the ladies with that bubble bumper.

MadeInTYO - June 18: Ya’ll gon figure out quick, I’m a sucker for a silky soul sample. The Atlanta artist gets in his bag about life on this track featuring some inspirational words from the late XXXTentacion in the middle.

BTS ft. JuiceWrld - All Night (Pt. 3): This song helped me understand why BTS is a global phenomenon. Half the song isn’t in English (I’m guessing it’s Korean but Kapital Pea never assumes). The melodies tho! They can sing, they can dance, they can demolish a track. And JuiceWrld fits perfectly with the guys. Next time I’m wit my Korean bitty I’m bumping this on the JBL Charge 4 while I hit it from the back! (JK y’all know I ain’t got no bitties. Dick drier than the Kalahari (that’s a desert btw))

Stormzy - Crown: “Searchin' every corner of my mind, lookin' for the answers I can't find, I have my reasons and, life has its lessons and, tried to be grateful and, count all my blessings, but heavy is the head that wears the crown.” Nuff said.

Mustard ft. A$AP Ferg, YG, Tyga & A$AP Rocky - On God: Do your diamonds dance? Do you got soldiers takin’ chances? Do you be nappin’ in the Hamptons? Do you got a architect building a big ass mansion? Then On God you doin’ it right according to this conglomerate of Cali & NY artists. Sidenote ladies: Rocky can’t stand women with no rhythm because he can’t tell if she twerking or twitching so make sure your staying on beat if you pull up on the young god.

ALLBLACK ft. Kossiko - 304: Codename for “hoe” (not the West Virginia area code) since 304 looks like hoe spelled backwards on a digital clock (I know… I know…) The Cali spitter dedicates this upbeat track  to the ladies that like to give it up and got no shame in they game.

Zack Fox & Kenny Beats - Jesus Is The One (I Got Depression): A masterful creation born out of Kenny Beats “Don’t Over Think Shit” Youtube series.  Zack delivers some bars straight from the heart about how he’s feeling, what he’s sippin on, and where he’s dippin his balls and tip (in Thousand Island Dressing and a bag of Doritos respectively…) I recommend watching the whole session on Youtube.

Lou Phelphs x Tony Stone - Cinnamon Toast: This one for the ladies that be smelling good. Ain’t nothing like a woman that can stimulate the olfactory senses (in a good way). Strippers are very good at choosing intoxicating scents that make you come off that bread… Fun Fact: Lou Phelps happens to be Grammy-winning producer KATRANADA’s lil brother (K also produced this track). The more you know!

Blueface ft. Offset - Bussdown: “Used to ride the bus down, now I wear Bussdowns.” Blueface eloquently describes how he went from using public transportation to wearing Rolex watches. This may seem like a flex but the young crip (allegedly) is motivating the youth to keep chasing their dreams cuz if he can do it, they can too!

Dominic Fike - Phone Numbers: On this certified Gold track (in Australia) Dom goes in on a Kenny Beats beat asking his shawty to break bread with him. Shawty been switching phone numbers and not responding to his texts but he popping now so he just asking for a lil courtesy.

Jaden ft. Kid Cudi - On My Own: “True wealth is knowledge.” On the heels of his hit album Syre, Jaden dropped ERYS (SYRE backwards) and this is my favorite track from the project. A rock-infused trippy track where two of Earth’s most famous Hip-Hop Spaceheads get in they bag about life and staying strong despite haters trying to hold you down and shit. The beat flips and Jaden pee pees all over it (in a good way). Also check out “Chateau” ft. A$ASP Rocky and “Again” from ERYS. (You also might recognize this song from the video game Spiderman: Miles Morales)

Dreamville ft. J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Lute & DaBaby - Under The Sun: Tough Tune! The RIAA-certified Platinum track features three stand out verses from North Carolina’s finest. With K. Dot on the hook and a soul sample, this is probably the best posse cut of the year. Also featured one of my favorite bars “Wish a nigga would like Liam Neeson” Google it if you don’t get the reference. DaBaby commits first degree murder on this beat and it could be my favorite verse of his (of all-time). Also the nigga who gets to spit when the beat drops gets a credit boost because if they rip it right it hit’s hoard! Not hard, hoard!

Jafar Jackson - Got Me Singing: The King of Pop’s nephew made an absolute panty dropper… If I had a daughter and she brought home a nigga named Jafar, I’d be displeased. But if she was like “Nah, he Michael Jackson’s nephew and he made this song.” Then she plays this track. I’d be like, you need throw that nigga them cheeks and go head and trap him cuz mans got a bright future (and prolly a trust fund or two.)

JuiceWrld - Run: The late Chicago artist gets in his emo bag on this one letting us know about his inner struggle between The Dark Side & The Light. All of us experience these forces battling at some point and Juice drops some gems on this one. “Money is happiness, CAP!”

Lil Tecca - Bossanova: Following the success of Ransom, the Queens rapper dropped this mini track warning all these energy vampires to back the fuck off before he pipe ya wife!

Lil West - Bad: Delaware’s finest had to dedicate one to his main damie. Sometimes you gotta let shawty know you tied in and these side bitties don’t mean nothing. I luh you girl! (Katie if you’re reading this, I’ve changed... Come back to me please....)

Q Money - Sippin’ (Patron): Da Trone! Q kills this Three 6 Mafia Sippin on Some Sizzurp sample. Hopefully he beats that murder case… If he didn’t murder of course…

Yung Bleu ft. PnB Rock - Elevatorz: Is there a better analogy for a relationship? An elevator, brilliant! “Up and down a million times, loving you…” Also it’s like an elevator when she be bouncing on the meat. And with Philly gangsta-crooner PnB Rock to spice up the track the Alabama Scamma (made-up moniker) got a certified hit with this one.

Krept & Konan ft. Headie One & K-Trap - I Spy: These British niggas got beef with somebody (who I don’t know, it’s not my business) but they encourage all wanksters (and wankers?) to stop the tough talk if you ain’t bout that life. Includes such insults as “suck your mother” which apparently is offensive in British. Also, the Brits have seem to have taking a liking to Kevin Hart’s phrase “Say it with ya chest” as this is the 2nd song on the 2019 list to contain this phrase.

Blueface ft. YG - Thotiana (Remix): Bloof continued his monster 2019 by taking the term popularized by Chief Keef’s Drill Wave of the early ‘10’s and flipping it into an ode to women who like to pick it up and break that shit down. A lot of rent payments were collected at a plethora of gentlemen’s clubs to this anthem. Lot of lil niggas named “Man Man” got some new J’s cuz moms was bussin it down to this track. Add in Compton veteran YG and you got a Bloody Crip certified hit!

Ed Sheeran ft. Stormzy - Take Me Back to London: After the smash success of The Divide Tour (the highest grossing tour of all time and with Corona, will probably hold that record for a minute) Ed decided, fuck it, Ima do me. He made the album 6, full of hip-hop features including Stormzy, Travis Scott and some other niggas too. Take Me Back has the Ginger Giant yearning for home after being on the road for so long. I feel that. He be missing all the tea and krimpets and spotted dick (it’s food, chill Phil) while he’s traveling the world, playing sold out shows.

Marc E. Bassy - Die Hard: The Cali singer has been putting out fire for years. On “Die Hard” he’s asking his shawty to be patient as old habits Die Hard. He gon change eventually, but you gotta give him time to blossom like a tulip in spring.

DooWop ft. Lil Uzi Vert - Cap Flow: Uzi and DooWop go back and forth on this hard drill beat. This a song to beat a nigga ass to, or get your ass beat if you’re into S&M... or being on the receiving end of beatdowns…

Ed Sheeran ft. Travis Scott - Antisocial: “I don’t mess with your energy” Don’t you feel like that with some people? Back up bro, WE NOT WIT DA BULLSHIT ON DIS SIDE! Not today, not ever. “Don’t touch me, I came to vibe yeah, won’t let nothin’ come between me and the night.” Travis kills per usual. An unexpected but delightful combination.

Lil Skies - Going Off: “It’s alotta kings in the room...” Young Skies may have alotta tats on his face, but he also has a penchant for picking great beats and bending his flow to surf the beat. “We ran up them numbers by being us, fuck being cool” Be yoself grasshopper!

Mozzy ft. Marc E. Bassy & Sage The Gemini - Cut Ties: Another Bay King, Mozzy, enlists MEB and Sage to drop a smooth track for the bitties. These standup gentlemen are asking their ladies to cut off they old work because theirs is the only meat she’ll ever need (for now).

Yung Bans ft. 03 Greedo - Ready Set Go: A slow tempo track featuring a standout verse from 03 Greedo (recently denied parole, Free Greedo 2021). Greedo lets us know that he don’t love them 304’s (callback) he doubles down and says “We can’t trust these hoes, We can’t trust these 304’s,” just in case you didn’t get it the 1st time or didn’t listen to the ALLBLACK song 304 (previously mentioned on this list) and didn’t know what it meant. The song also features a demo of the chorus from XXXTentacion at the end.

Jay Critch - I’m A Star: That you are my G. “Game on, took a loss but I stay strong” That’s life! We get knocked down, but we get up again. You're never gonna keep us down. This radio-ready track was played during sports broadcast and rightfully so. With mentions of the Superbowl and Saquon this song was born to be on a Madden soundtrack (and… ***checks the interwebs*** ...It is on the Madden 20 soundtrack!)

Rick Ross ft. Drake - Gold Roses: With a simple beat of keys, high hat, and snare, Drake delivers one of his best verses of 2019. Talkin bout the ladies he trying to connect with, the five star life, and mobbing wit his niggas. Ross flow was butter on this beat. Two A+ verses from The Boss. Tough Tune indeed!

Burna Boy ft. YG - This Side: Compton meets Africa on this one. 2019 was a big year for Burna with the release of his album “African Giant”. Him and YG let the people know that they fuck bad bitties and they don’t fuck wit snitch-niggas. The End.

Joey B ft. Kwesi Arthur & Sarkodie - La Familia: One of my favorite beats of the year. You know what this about. You ride fo yo niggas. You slide fo yo niggas. And you don’t smash the homies girl. (Fuck you LaJuan… I loved Katie… correction… I still love Katie...)

Warm Brew - Summertime: If you title a track “Summertime” it’s got some big shoes to fill. It’s gotta be a vibe. It’s gotta be something you bump riding down the 101 in your Nissan Altima, windows down, without a care in the world (even though we all got cares and shit, the song ‘sposed to make you forget about all that.) And this track does just that! The fellas invite a shawty to kick it. Meet up for drinks, maybe link with the homies or just chill back and smoke something. Also great use of imagery “Booty eatin’ her sundress” A fat booty in a sundress is truly a sight to behold!

Chance the Rapper ft. Gucci Mane - Big Fish: This my favorite track from Chance’s technically debut album “The Big Day.” This one’s about the come-up. The beat was tailored for GuWop and both these gentlemen express their joy of being married “Hublot, surfboard, brought sand to the beach…”

Bishop Nehru - Codeine Wit It, Rock Wit It: A freestyle over the classic beat from Dem Franchize Boyz’ “Lean Wit It Rock It” The Good Bishop goes in… No hook required.

D.R.A.M. ft. H.E.R. & WATT - The Lay Down: This may be the only song I know of with three capital letter artists. I think DRAM had the periods in his name at the time (he removed the periods from his stage name but now he goes by his government name “Shelley” ...prolly paid off his back child support.) Anyways, the song. It’s perfect for passionate doggystyle sex on a cold winter evening.

Lil B - Rhode Island: Off his 50 track mixtape “The Hunchback of BasedGod” Based God shouts out the smallest state in The Union but one of his favs. Little known fact: there is a movement to make this track Rhode Island’s State Song. Thank you Based God!

Dom Kennedy ft. The Game & MoeRoy - Pharaohs: “Wake up every morning, Lord I’m grateful” The California spitters go in about where they from and how they do. How they livin’, code of the streets, and how to make it in the drug game then escape and become successful rappers. Also, they brag about all the nice things they’ve purchased with their rap money and also their loyalty to Cali. Amen.

Pivot Gang ft. KOTA The Friend- SoHo Freestyle: A triumphant uptempo beat + turbo bars = Heat! Featuring one of the most underrated artists, KOTA The Friend, Pivot Gang dropped a jewel.

Thurz ft. Ro Blvd - Addicted: “This for everybody addicted to that LA weather” And it’s also for the bitties, because these gentlemen are addicted to the thing you do. Love can feel like you on drugs. That furburger be having you fiendin... buying her all type of bags, waiting outside her house in the bushes just to get a glimpse of dat ass, regular everyday shit. Major Cali vibes on this track. Keys and drums for you to cruise in your Kia Sedona with the moonroof open.

Megan Thee Stallion ft. Ty Dolla $ign & Nicki Minaj - Hot Girl Summer: Megan burst onto the scene like the Kool AId nigga running through that brick wall. Her breakout single was the anthem for the summer as the ladies got loose to it and the homies were overjoyed to be around women turning up to this tune. Featuring the velvety vocals of Ty Dolla and a classic verse by Queen Nicki. And the video! Despite what you may have heard, I have not beat my meat to the music video...

Rick Ross ft. Denzel Curry & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - Running the Streets: The piano-laced track is a dedication to the bitties that hold it down while they man out there getting that guap (or vice versa, it’s 2021!) It has the spirit of Cake’s “The Distance”. Featuring the Trap Casanova, A Boogie, and a fire verse from 32Zel who somehow manages to reference Stanley Yelnats from the Newbery Medal-Winning children’s book “Holes” Incredible!

SiR ft. Kendrick Lamar - Hair Down: Soulful, funky, something to smoke a blunt to, or bury your face in yo main ladies muff. Sir just tryin to let his hair down, eat a fish sandwich and chill wit wifey. Kendrick comes through and just throws the icing and sprinkles on this cake. He promises to sweat his shawty’s edges out and if you’re an upstanding gentleman you should be breaking yo main damie off like that too.

Odunsi (The Engine) ft. Wani - Better Days: Don’t judge people, because everybody’s a sinner. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God nigga (that’s in the bible, verbatim) Odunsi is praying for Better Days for us all over an Afro-beat that’s as smooth as Horse Hair Weave.

Money Man - Stay Down Freestyle: Over a beat carried by guitar chords and accented by a flute, the ATLien blesses us with another hookless bop. “Ain’t nobody gon’ watch my back like me.”

Swae Lee - Sextasy: Swae Lee tryna give Bae Lee that dope D. (I’ll see myself out…) This a perfect track to play at a low volume on your Beats Pill while you going downtown to Browntown. That’s right, I’m talkin bout eatin’ ass. Have shawty left leg quakin with the assistance of this one and some great tongue work in both the anal and clitoral areas.

Rory Fresco ft. Kid Ink - Magic: “Up, we going! I would lose my head if I let all the shit they said heat me up” Amen! Sticks and stones. And ya boy Rory Fresco laughing all the way to the bank.

Casanova 2x ft. Fabolous - So Brooklyn: If you tryna go hard in the gym, even if you not from BK, put this on. Starts off with a super aggressive verse from Cass (why is this nigga yelling?) Fab comes in and drops one of his best verses of all-time. This will probably be played at every Nets home game til the end of time. Brook-lyn!

Young Thug ft. Machine Gun Kelly - Ecstasy: Second mention of the euphoric drug in the last few songs. There must be a drug problem in Hip-Hop! Jk, do you and roll responsibly. “Molly, roxy, oxy, contin, jubilee, ten-a-key, We need God!” Thugger is taking all the drugs but also asking the Lord for forgiveness for all the heathenous things he’s done. That’s called balance and it’s essential for a fulfilled life here on Earth. Featuring a tough verse from MGK, the Dime-Slayer. These two young kings produced one of the best tracks from Thug’s “Slime Season”.

Guapdad4000 ft. 6lack - Prada Process: First off, let me say, Russ, I want absolutely no smoke. But this track right here nigga! Wooooooo!!!!!!! Scammer turned rapper GD4 smokes this beat then 6lack bats clean up and talks his shit. Make progress, trust the Prada Process.

Ramriddlz - Niagara: The Canadian artist first came on to many people's radar when Drake remixed his hit single “Sweeterman”. Repping for his homeland (even though part of Niagara Falls is in America), this is a shout out to his shawty and how she get wet like Niagara. With classic lines like “My riddling, got her fiddling, now she dribbling, oh got her wiggling, ass cheeks jiggling, tickle if she wriggle” Rami got a certified bop with this one.

Yung Gravy ft. Chief Keef & Y2K - Tampa Bay Bustdown: A child of the post-Old Town Road Country-Hip-Hop resurgence. Gravy & Sosa dropped a banjo-filled ditty with a catchy hook. Yee Haw!

Saint Lane - Pitbull Type Beat:  Simple beat. Great storytelling. Saint Lane details a night on the town getting turnt, keeping his main lady at bay, and spending more money than he should’ve, hurling in a pool, facetiming his ex, blacking out, his phone dying, then sunset! At the beginning of the song he didn’t like people (in general), but by the end he totally gets them! Love!

Wale - BGM: Super sleeper! “If someone like you could love me” On BGM (Black Girl Magic) Wale dedicates this to the Nubian Queens. This track is Dhalsim flames! One of my homies even smashed a snow bunny to this one because the song is a fuckin’ mood.

Benny Blanco ft. Juice World - Graduation: Superproducer Benny Blanco (who had a stellar performance in Season 1 of FX’s Dave (the Lil Dicky Show)) flipped Vitamin C’s 2000 hit “Graduation (Friends Forever)” and enlisted Juice World who sings his heart out about how his classmates and teachers tried to clown him when he was in high school but he managed to prove them wrong and accumulate, wealth, fame and blowjobs on his time in Earth. He showed off his wisdom with lines l like “What I didn't know was this grown-up world was just school in a blown-up world, There's still gossip, there's still drama, there's still problems” Bars indeed. RIP Juice. A+ Music video too!

Birdman & Juvenile ft. Lil Wayne - Ride Dat: A reunion of 90’s Cash Money Brothers, this song encourages the ladies out there to Ride Dat Dick. Long day at work RDD! Siblings stressing you out? RDD! Turnt off that Mango Ciroc and feeling frisky? RDD! Dat dick is a stress reliever (not mine... it’s mad regular...) Produced by Mannie Fresh, you know what goes down when Cash Money’s Mount Rushmore comes together. And if any of you ladies out there need a pole to slide on, hit me up via snail mail at Arkham Asylum, 357 Symphony Drive, Gotham City, NY 10017
