An Introduction: WTF Am I Doing?

Greeting Luv'd Ones,

It's your Captain speaking and we're embarking on a journey. Where we going? IDK! What will be contained within these cyber walls? Mostly lists of my personal favorite new tracks that dropped the previous week (usually Hip-Hop, R&B, whatever's popular and whatever I come across that I believe to be dope.) I'll also post random lists (most of them music-themed but whatever's tickling my taint at the moment). I like lists. They're simple and our brains categorize things anyway, so why not? Sometimes, I'll drop thoughts about current events from time to time. I certainly don't want to say anything that everyone else is saying. I'll only post if I have something to add or my own experience to draw from but like The Boy said, "A wise man once said nothing at all." I'll prolly also touch on TV & Film, Sports and Video Games (a few of my favorite things).

Why? Couple reasons. One - The Filter: So much music comes out and we all only have 24 hours of the day. So I'll listen and put forth what I think bangs. A lot of these songs go on to become huge hits, but some never get the shine they deserve and maybe they'll get a little more recognition. Two - The Fun: Just a fun experiment. See which tracks pop off and see if people like some of the hidden gems we find together along the way.

Who? "Da fuck you think you are that we should give a single fuck about what you think?" Well folks... I'm just a nigga that likes music. I think I have a pretty good ear for what's poppin, but taste is subjective, so I'll let you be the judge. I come from a musical family, rappers, singers, Broadway performers, my dad's a DJ (no bigs). Maybe you'll like the songs, maybe you won't. We're here to have fun. Maybe argue... just a lil bit. 

(Cliche BS incoming) Music is a great connector. We've been making music for thousands of years and it's intertwined in our culture. We play music at sporting events, weddings, funerals, in the car (or on the train), at the gym, religious gatherings, or while we doing any random task. We even bond over it in our friendships & relationships. Music is one of the loves of my life, and that's why it'll be central to what I'll be dropping on this site.

So let's have some friggin' fun. I'm hoping to learn from you and always appreciate feedback & suggestions.
