The Hit List: week 161 (May 20 - May 26)
Vince Staples - Étouffée: New album “Dark Times” Vince steps into his role as OG and gives game to the youngins. “Étouffée” is the boppiest on the album and will be on repeat all summer. Other highlights:
Children’s Song
Little Homies

Don Toliver ft. Charlie Wilson & Cash Cobain - Attitude: Best drop of the week. The Pharell “Beautiful” sample, the Cash Cobain beat, and of course Charlie Wilson (chef’s kiss). This track is dy-no-mite!
Sexyy Redd & Drake - U My Everything: New Mixtape “In Sexyy We Trust” produced by Tay Keith. The Lil Baby collab “Lick Me” is special. “U My Everything” stands out not only for the Drake feature but for him going in on the BBL Drizzy beat. The rest of the song is super catchy too.
Cash Cobain & J. Cole - Grippy: A new version of Cash Cobain’s “Dunk Contest” with Cole dedicating his verse to his shawty with the Gorilla Grip. Another catchy chune.
Rah Swish & Lonny Love - DASANI: New Album “Elevator Music” This track with Lonny Love is grown & sexy NY Drill. Rah’s white chick loves molly & yay and when they smash they enjoy a lil race play. Other standouts:
ONE OF ONE (with Jim Jones)
I AM NOT HUMAN
Sango & Peyton - Tell You Anything: New Album “”North Vol. 2” Jazzy, soulful, smooth & soothing music. “Tell You Anything” finds Peyton opening up to her boo thang. She’s his fantasy, like a wet dream, she’s everything he needs, whatever he wants to do she’ll make come true. She’ll tell him anything, and give him what he wants (for tonight). Other highlights:
Lost Intro (Sango’s Version) [with Bryson Tiller]
Meanwhile (ft. Dave B.)
We Up (with Ojerime)
2300 - I Just Liked Her Story: Dope melodic track. 2300 doesn’t DM the bitties but he might like a story here and there. If he does, he tryna smash you and your friend.
Juicy J - Switched Up: New Album “Mental Trillness 2”. This one hit home. It’s about all your loved ones that switch up on you. Only one route to go, cut em off.
Big-Hit ft. Hit-Boy, The Alchemist & HitGirlLena - Gank Move: Big Hit is gearing up to drop a project soon. This one has that classic West Coast sound, Big Hit and Lena (his daughter and Hit-Boy’s sister) talk that shit and they let be it known you better not fuck wit Pasadena or you getting buried.
Baby Jungle ft. DJ Drama - Jungle Jeezy: New project “Jungle Book”. Opening track “Jungle Jeezy” samples The Isley Brothers smash hit “Between The Sheets” and has Baby Jungle rapping about making it out the trenches. Other highlights:
Freaknik (ft. Rob49)
Nobody
Haiti Babii - My Time: This track is on the NBA 2K25 soundtrack (which dropped this week). It’s motivational. HB worked for it, grinded, now it’s his time.
